DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies announced recently that the club has agreed to terms with both RHP Jason Jennings and LHP Joe Kennedy. Jennings has signed a two-year contract with a third-year club option and Kennedy agreed to a one-year deal. Terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

It marked the third straight year he's reached double-digits in victories, joining Pedro Astacio (1998-2000) as the only pitchers in franchise history to ever do so. Jennings, 26, is now just 10 wins shy of tying Astacio's franchise record for career victories with a lifetime record of 43-34 in 104 major league starts. The 2002 National League Rookie of the Year, Jennings was Colorado's first round draft choice (16th overall) in the 1999 June draft.
Kennedy, 25, is coming off a 2004 season in which he set career highs in both wins (9-7) and strikeouts (117), while establishing a Rockies franchise record for lowest ERA (3.66). The southpaw was 6-1 with a 3.59 ERA in 14 starts at Coors Field. In four seasons as a major leaguer, Kennedy is 27-38 with a 4.63 ERA in 109 games (99 starts).
By agreeing to terms with with Jennings and Kennedy, the Rockies' only arbitration-eligible player that remains unsigned is RHP Shawn Chacon.
